Common questions

Data, backups, and recovery.

Where is my workspace stored?

On your iPhone. Nokta has no account and keeps no copy of your workspace on a server. Removing the app removes its data, apart from whatever your iPhone's own backup holds.

How do I back up?

Nokta backs itself up once a day. To make one now, open Settings → Data → Back up now, or open You → Backups. Backups stay on your device. Exporting a .nokta file to somewhere else comes with Nokta+.

How do I restore or import a backup?

Open You → Backups, then choose a backup the app holds, or use Import a file… to bring in a .nokta file. Restoring and importing are free.

Can support recover a deleted workspace?

No. Nokta has no server copy of your workspace, so recovery depends on the backups on your device, your iPhone's own backup, or a .nokta file you exported.

How do I remove Nokta data?

Open Settings → Data → Clear all data to empty the workspace, or delete the app from your iPhone. Back up first if you may want the data later.

How do I cancel Nokta+?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple: open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. The lifetime plan is a one-time purchase and never renews. Nothing is deleted when a membership ends: everything you made stays, and every node keeps the shape, colour and material you gave it. Put a node back to a free shape or colour, or reset it, and the Nokta+ look can't be picked again without Nokta+.

Should I email screenshots or my notes?

A screenshot helps with a visual problem, but remove anything personal first. Never send sensitive notes or a full backup unless support specifically asks and you are comfortable doing so.
